Singing has always been part of Su’s life, from singing to seals as a child,  to busking for a living in her 20’s.

Visits to the African rainforests with husband Martin Cradick to learn from Baka Pygmy singing lead to a greater understanding of the world of sound and sound making and the creation of their internationally touring band Baka Beyond. Other musical projects have followed including festival Eco-Ska band Shak Shak and Eco-commotion., (calypso/ folk protest).
